Argentine Honey
Argentina has a world leading position in terms of honeyproduction and exports. Most national production is aimed at quality demanding foreign markets.
Thanks to its extensive natural prairies, location and weather, Argentina produces and markets different kinds of apiculture products: types of honey differentiated by their botanical origin
(eucalyptus, knotgrass, sunflower, alfalfa, clover, and carob honey), live elements (packs, queens), propolis, royal jelly, and pollen, among others.
The main honey-producing area is located at the Pampas region, but most of the country is suitable for its elaboration. The national average yield is 30 to 35 kg per beehive per year; however, there are areas with performances over 65 kg per beehive per year. These are among the world's highest production figures.
The quality of Argentinian honey is well known around the world for its organileptic features, chemical composition and wide range of colors and purity.
